BRITISH UKRAINIAN AID.

As well as beautiful dancing, tonight’s event is also about the awareness and support of the people who have been suffering in the hardship of the Russian – Ukrainian war. There have been fewer news on this subject recently but the war continues with the same intensity and people are dying every day.

British Ukrainian Aid was founded after the first armed conflict of Doneck and Lugansk regions in Eastern Ukraine from the Russian invaders in 2014 .

The Charity supports people suffering from the war and humanitarian crisis in Ukraine by aligning UK and Ukrainian efforts. They offer assistance to vulnerable individuals who have been wounded, stranded or displaced. Since the full-scale invasion in February 2022 the charity’s main focus has been providing essential medical aid to Ukraine to help with emergency and relief operations.

The charity is run by volunteers. It follows a strict principle that 100% donated to them is used for the cause. With no overheads, they use the most cost-effective suppliers.

To date, volunteers have delivered more than 28,000 medical kits, more than 120 ambulances, 18 portable ecoflow power stations, and 16 portable generators, as well as medical supplies and equipment worth c. 1 million to a number of places across Ukraine, including Kharkiv, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Dnipro, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Bakhmut and many other locations.

These days British and Ukrainian Aid are doing remarkable work with refugees in England, Poland, Romania and other countries who are kindly offering their homes to Ukrainian families.
They also take an active role in organising demonstrations around London in support of this urgent cause.

British-Ukrainian Aid is a Charity Registered in England and Wales no.1164472
