The London Gala Ball would like to invite all competitive Pro-Am and Teacher-Student couples to take onto the floor at the beautiful Porchester Hall, which boasts a beautiful historical ballroom with sprung wooden floor, chandeliers, red carpet and everything to make it a glamorous occasion. The competition is for International Style Ballroom, Latin, Smooth and Show Dance. We welcome everyone irrespective of association and qualifications.

One student can enter two consecutive Categories: one level up on one age category down.
No partner change during heats.
All Categories may dance open routines.
No lifts are permitted at any level, apart from the Show Dance.
No dress restrictions, except appropriate dance shoes must be worn.
‘Pro-Am’ for this competition only will refer to as a Professional or Amateur teacher/coach dancing with their student.
Category C/Beginner – for students with limited dance and competition experience dancing up to Silver level, but may dance open choreography;
Category B/Intermediate – for students dancing up to Gold level, but may dance open choreography;
Category C/Advanced – for students dancing any level open choreography.
One Teacher dancing with one Student to their chosen music. One couple on the floor at a time.
Length of the routine should be between 2 and 2.5min, including intro.
Choreography should contain at least 70% of Ballroom/Smooth or Latin styles.
Lifts are allowed and should be performed in a safe manner under full responsibility of the professional partner.
Each couple will get a professional video of their performance.
The two Show Dance winners will perform during the Dinner Dance in the evening
